brew: come eliminare la versione obsoleta del pacchetto

Homebrew sé aggiornamenti per infusione . E sembra che i manutentori non abbiano implementato alcuni comandi usati quotidianamente come brew cleanup.

Quindi qualcuno sa come eliminare automaticamente una versione obsoleta del software?

Il comando che vuoi è cleanup- in esecuzione brew cleanuprimuoverà i pacchetti che sono sul disco, ma non sono più installati.

> brew help cleanup
brew cleanup [--prune=days] [--dry-run] [-s] [formulae]:
    For all installed or specific formulae, remove any older versions from the
    cellar. In addition, old downloads from the Homebrew download-cache are deleted.

    If --prune=days is specified, remove all cache files older than days.

    If --dry-run or -n is passed, show what would be removed, but do not
    actually remove anything.

    If -s is passed, scrubs the cache, removing downloads for even the latest
    versions of formulae. Note downloads for any installed formulae will still not be
    deleted. If you want to delete those too: rm -rf $(brew --cache)

Ho un regime di lunedì mattina di:

brew update
brew upgrade
brew cleanup

Questo mi aggiorna su Homebrew, quindi su tutte le mie birre installate e quindi libera spazio su disco rimuovendo le vecchie birre a cui non si fa più riferimento. Per le birre che devo conservare in una versione specifica, le uso brew pinper tenerle lì, così posso ancora eseguire questa semplice catena a tre comandi per aggiornare tutto il resto intorno ai pacchetti appuntati.

L'ho salvato nel mio in ~/.bash_profilemodo da poterlo chiamare dal terminale come il nome della funzione al volo.
