Dove sono i miei file postgres * .conf?

Ho recentemente reinstallato postgresql 8.3 sul mio Ubuntu 8.04 dopo l'aggiornamento. Pacchetto EnterpriseDB usato. Posso connettermi al database localmente, vedo postgres DB di sistema ma non riesco a configurarlo perché non riesco a trovare i file di configurazione. Ho cercato su tutto il disco rigido e ho trovato solo campioni similipg_hba.conf.sample

Dove sono i file postgres * .conf ?

Se stai cercando il file di avvio di sql, viene chiamato .psqlrce puoi aprirlo con un editor di testo nel tuo terminale.

Non mi fiderei dell'output di Locate. Immagina questi passaggi: Postgres versione x è installata, updateb legge la posizione di tutti i file, postgres viene aggiornato alla versione x + 1. Ora i dati memorizzati nella cache di Locate sono troppo vecchi .... Questo non è affidabile.

Dove sono i miei file postgres * .conf?

Eseguire una query sul database con la query sql:

SHOW config_file;

Il motivo per cui potresti avere difficoltà a trovare postgresql.confè perché è di proprietà di Postgres, non di root.

Ecco dove è il mio su Fedora 17:

Si noti che è di proprietà di Postgres :

Ha il permesso 600 che spiega perché hai difficoltà a trovarlo con una ricerca di file. La posizione di postgresql.confsarà diversa a seconda del sistema operativo in uso.

Se l'hai appena installato, è possibile che locatenon sia d'aiuto. In tal caso, il servizio dovrebbe essere in esecuzione ed è possibile eseguire

ps aux  | grep 'postgres *-D'

per vedere da dove postgresql-master sta caricando i file di configurazione.

La risposta potrebbe essere che non hai ancora inizializzato il database. Dopo aver installato postgres, ma prima di inizializzare il database, i file postgres * .sql saranno assenti. Dopo aver inizializzato il database appariranno i file postgres * .sql. (Centos 6, Postgres 9.3 mostrato qui)

[root@localhost /]# yum -y install postgresql93 postgresql93-server

Poiché non ho accesso all'account Postgres (quindi non posso eseguirlo SHOW config_file) e il mio Postgres è installato su Windows, nessuna delle risposte mi ha aiutato, quindi sto condividendo la mia posizione dei file per i futuri lettori di Windows:

Per Debian 9 ho trovato il mio usando la risposta di Franke Heikens - $ /etc/postgresql/9.6/main/postgresql.conf

Stampa percorso file pg_hba.conf:

su - postgres -c "psql -t -P format=unaligned -c 'show hba_file';"

Stampa la posizione del file postgresql.conf:

su - postgres -c "psql -t -P format=unaligned -c 'SHOW config_file';"

Mi piace questo thread perché documenta le posizioni predefinite per vari file postgresql.conf su varie architetture ...

Tuttavia , ho anche avuto problemi facendo affidamento su quelle impostazioni predefinite su installazioni in cui hanno specificato posizioni alternative. Un modo per scoprire dove si trova un determinato file di configurazione eseguendo una query direttamente sul database:

select * from pg_settings where name='config_file'

Rilascia la whereclausola per vedere tutte le impostazioni, che possono anche essere illuminanti perché mostra dove sono le directory dei dati, pg_hba.conf, ecc.

In Windows 10 pro:

C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\11\data

In CentOS 7 con PostgreSQL 9.4 è nella seguente directory:

/var/lib/pgsql/9.4/data

Posso vederlo quando eseguo l'accesso come root.

su MacOS Mojave dove ero solito brew install postgresqlinstallarlo, l'ho trovato qui

/usr/local/var/postgres/postgresql.conf

Ho ottenuto questo usando il seguente comando sql citato in questa risposta qui:

psql -U postgres -c 'SHOW config_file'

Se hai seguito il white paper pubblicato da Amazon per l'installazione di Postgresql su AWS, che includeva la creazione di una directory / data / su un filesystem montato su un volume EBS separato, il tuo file postgresql.conf si trova in / data /

Da cui concludo che il file viene creato durante l'inizializzazione della directory dei dati e risiede nella radice della directory dei dati. Per un'installazione predefinita questo sembra essere / var / lib / pgsql / data, ma non se hai spostato la directory dei dati
