SSH funziona solo dopo la password intenzionalmente non riuscita

Quindi, sto avendo un problema piuttosto strano. Ho un server, che quando provo a SSH in, chiude immediatamente la connessione se digito la password corretta al primo tentativo. Tuttavia, se inserisco intenzionalmente una password errata al primo tentativo e quindi immetto una password corretta al secondo o terzo prompt, mi accede correttamente al computer. Allo stesso modo, quando provo a utilizzare l'autenticazione con chiave pubblica, ottengo una connessione chiusa immediata. Se, tuttavia, inserisco una password errata per il mio file di chiave, seguita da un'altra password errata una volta ripristinata l'autenticazione della password, posso accedere correttamente purché fornisca la password corretta al secondo o terzo prompt.

La macchina esegue Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server versione 6.2 (Santiago) e utilizza LDAP e PAM per l'autenticazione. Qualche idea su dove iniziare il debug di questo? Fammi sapere quali file di configurazione devo fornire e sarò felice di farlo.

Ecco alcune informazioni di debug. I seguenti blocchi di codice rappresentano questi 3 scenari, nell'ordine: 1) Correggere la password della chiave privata al primo tentativo, 2) saltare la chiave privata, correggere la password normale al primo tentativo, 3) saltare la chiave privata, inserire intenzionalmente una password errata, quindi inserisci quello buono ... questo è l'unico scenario che in realtà mi permette di connettermi.

Non hai la reputazione di aggiungere commenti, ma per eseguire il debug dei problemi di autenticazione PAM che stai cercando dalla parte sbagliata, devi farlo dal lato server.

Per fare ciò ssh nel server ed eseguire:

sshd -d -D -p 4000

Ciò avvierà un demone ssh sulla porta 4000 ( -p 4000) con debug abilitato ( -d), senza staccarsi dalla console ( -D).

Quindi riprovare ma connettendosi alla porta 4000, sul lato server vedrai un sacco di output, c'è la verità della radice del tuo problema, non sul lato client.

Se hai bisogno di più dettagli puoi aggiungere più -d, fino a tre.

Se non riesci a capire dall'output incollalo qui per consentirci di vederlo.

Quindi ho trovato una soluzione, non so se sia la migliore, ma mi fa entrare SSH al primo tentativo. Il trucco era sbarazzarsi di tutte le password-authinclusioni /etc/pam.d/sshde sostituirle con le system-authinclusioni. Quindi, il mio /etc/pam.d/sshdfile finale è simile al seguente:

Ho fatto la stessa correzione, sostituendo tutte le include password-authistruzioni con include system-auth, /etc/pam.d/crondpoiché non consentiva a nessuno (incluso root) di usare cron / crontab. Qual è la differenza tra queste configurazioni? Queste modifiche hanno in qualche modo compromesso la mia sicurezza?
