Ho un indirizzo IP STATICO sulla mia rete.
Posso eseguire il ping di uno dei server di Google:

Dovrei notare che sono dietro un proxy, ma ciò non dovrebbe influire sulla non risoluzione dei nomi. Non riesco nemmeno a risolvere il nome del mio proxy.

Ho trascorso un paio d'ore cercando di capire le potenziali cause di questo problema, ma da quello che ho letto e provato finora, tutto sembra normale (come in ciò che le persone hanno suggerito in altri thread va già bene / esiste sulla mia macchina), tranne che non ho un file /etc/named.conf né un file /etc/resolv.conf. Potrei crearli (come potrei anche sapere cosa inserire?) Ma non credo che risolverebbe il problema. Suggerimenti?
