Impossibile decomprimere il file .tar.xz, ottenendo "xz: Impossibile eseguire: nessun file o directory" da tar

Per Come faccio a decomprimere un tarball che usi .xz? , Ho provato tar xf php-5.6.0RC4.tar.xze tar -xJf php-5.6.0RC4.tar.xzin entrambi i casi ottengo quanto segue:

tar (child): xz: Cannot exec: No such file or directory
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

È questo php-5.6.0RC4.tar.xz .

Sto eseguendo Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

ti dà il vero errore. Il xzprogramma non può essere eseguito, probabilmente perché non è installato. Per installare gli strumenti xz(de) di compressione, rilasciare

sudo apt-get install xz-utils
