Il client openvpn si collega al server ma la risoluzione dei nomi non funziona

il gestore della rete è stato eliminato; Ho fatto un apt-clean dopo la disinstallazione. è necessario il pacchetto network-manager-openvpn quando si esegue openvpn con network-manager

Non penso che sia un problema di routing, perché il ping su un ip internet o sul dns ips (del vpn) ritorna normalmente.

Ho controllato syslog ma non ho trovato alcun registro relativo alla VPN.

Ho provato un altro provider VPN gratuito e ho lo stesso identico problema.

Ho scavato più e più volte su google ma non sono riuscito a trovare alcuna risposta o indizio accettabile. A questo punto inizia a diventare insame, perché inizio a ripetere sempre gli stessi test e non so cosa fare.

i post che ho già letto in StackOverflow:

Nessuna connessione Internet su OpenVPN -> la soluzione è mettere 'push "dhcp-option DNS 8.8.8.8"' nel server conf. Per quanto mi riguarda, questa opzione appare nell'output di debug all'avvio del client.

OpenVPN + iptables: non inoltro del traffico -> è un problema relativo al server + regole iptables.

(RISOLTO) OpenVPN - Connessione del gestore di rete Ubuntu ok, ma non in risoluzione, non ping, niente internet -> questo sembrava molto interessante, ma il problema dns è stato risolto con il comando dnsmasq sul vps.

/superuser/717383/vpn-dns-resolution -> Penso che questo sia un problema relativo al server.

Il server OpenVPN non fornisce l'accesso a Internet -> nessuna soluzione fornita, ma suppongo che si tratti più di un problema con iptables (opzione di inoltro) o relativo al server.

Ho inviato una mail a entrambi i provider VPN ma nessuna risposta dopo più di 2 giorni.

Ubuntu fa cose magiche con DNS, ma fortunatamente OpenVPN fornisce un modo per gestirlo. Se hai installato openvpn dai repository Ubuntu, avrai uno script in / etc / openvpn / update-resolv-conf per dire a Ubuntu quale DNS dovrebbe usare per la tua connessione vpn. Per usarlo, aggiungi le seguenti righe al tuo file di configurazione di openvpn:

script-security 2
up /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf
down /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf

Ciò eseguirà lo script quando la tua connessione VPN si attiva e si interrompe e aggiornerà le impostazioni DNS di conseguenza.

Modifica (20-06-2018): Come menziona @Thenightmanager nei commenti, Ubuntu moderna (almeno 18.04 e successive) ha introdotto un po 'di magia DNS di sistema aggiuntiva e lo script update-resolv-conf potrebbe non essere più sufficiente. Dai un'occhiata a update-systemd-resolved per una possibile alternativa funzionante.

Ho combattuto con MTU e tutto il resto per un po 'di tempo. Mi sono imbattuto in questo gioiello e ho risolto il mio problema. Grazie per la risposta ha funzionato per i miei problemi.

Grazie mille per questo suggerimento, è stato immensamente utile per me in passato. Nota che su Ubuntu 18.04 (e forse già su Ubuntu 17.04) update-systemd-resolveddovrebbe essere usato al posto di update-resolv-conf.

Vale la pena notare che una qualche forma di NAT deve avere luogo affinché DNS (o qualsiasi dato Internet) funzioni su una VPN. Tipicamente: iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 10.8.0.0/24 -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE

Tuttavia, dichiari:

iptables non installato

In tal caso, il router LAN del server deve eseguire NAT e disporre di un percorso statico per la VPN puntato sull'IP del server VPN.

Stesso problema qui con Ubuntu 15 e OpenVPN 2.3.2: l'opzione "dhcp DNS 8.8.8.8" non viene presa in considerazione dal client.

La mia soluzione era quella di utilizzare il Network Management Framework (+ plugin openvpn) per configurare la VPN. Ma ancora una volta, il "DNS opzione dhcp" non viene preso in considerazione, quindi ho aggiunto manualmente 8.8.8.8 in "Impostazioni IPV4 / Server DNS". Solo allora posso vedere nel registro:
