Come posso risolvere il driver Broadcom Wifi con kernel 4.15.0-xx su Ubuntu 16.04

Ho reinstallato un driver su Windows per Broadcom Network Adapter e successivamente il mio WiFi ha smesso di funzionare completamente su Ubuntu (16.04).

Ho provato a reinstallare i driver, usando questi comandi:

1. sudo apt-get purge bcmwl-kernel-source
2. sudo apt-get install bcmwl-kernel-source

Ma non ha aiutato

Stack HWE Canonical aggiornato per Ubuntu 16.04 al kernel 4.15. Ma hanno dimenticato di aggiornare il driver wireless Broadcom, in modo che possa essere costruito. È un bug critico e molto stupido, che causerà problemi a molte persone che usano l'LTS.

Ora il problema è stato risolto ed è stata creata una versione di driver compatibile

Questo problema può essere risolto installando una versione compatibile bcmwl-kernel-sourceche dovrebbe basarsi sui kernel 4.15.

Scarica http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/restricted/b/bcmwl/bcmwl-kernel-source_6.30.223.271+bdcom-0ubuntu1~1.3_amd64.deb

e installarlo usando dkpg.

Windows non è affatto correlato.

Il problema è che hai un kernel che non è compatibile con il driver.

Importante: se non si dispone di un'altra connessione di rete tranne Broadcom Wi-Fi, è possibile eseguire l'avvio con un kernel precedente utilizzando il menu grub e installare il driver. Dovrebbe essere creato per tutti i kernel.

@DavidFoerster Ho modificato la risposta e ho fornito un collegamento al driver creato per 16.04. Questa è la versione che verrà presto aggiunta ai repository. Non vi è alcuna differenza, tranne il numero di versione, ma è corretto che sia meglio utilizzarlo per eventuali futuri aggiornamenti possibili.

Altri utenti stanno dicendo la stessa cosa ... che stanno eseguendo 4.15 su 16.04 LTS e, come suggerisce il mio link, richiedono anche che i driver più recenti siano di nuovo funzionali al 100%. Non ho chiesto se sono in esecuzione proposte o no.

A proposito della bella risposta di Pilot6 a questa domanda, sembra che sia stata rilasciata una correzione ufficiale xenial(ovvero che non richieda l'installazione di pacchetti bionic) (se si utilizza un pacchetto broadcom-sta) o impegnata (se si utilizza un pacchetto bcmwlche fornisce bcmwl-kernel-source).
