pg_ctl: comando non trovato, quale pacchetto ha questo comando?

Ho installato pgadmin utilizzando il centro software ubuntu e sto provando ad accedere a un database locale (scaricato di recente da Internet). Ho provato a eseguire il comando pg_ctl (in esecuzione come postgres) tuttavia questo dà un comando non trovato errore. Ho anche eseguito i seguenti comandi:

echo $PATH: /usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/games:/usr/games

quindi è un po 'un posto strano ma comunque. whereis pg_ctl: pg_ctl: /usr/share/man/man1/pg_ctl.1.gz type pg_ctl: -su:quindi è da qualche parte sul mio sistema type: pg_ctl: not found che sembra sbagliato

apt-cache policy postgres-xcmi dà un No such file or directoryerrore l'output di

sudo apt-get install postgres-xc è

È necessario modificare il percorso:

$ cd ~
$ vim .profile
PATH=$PATH:/usr/lib/postgresql/{version}/bin
export PATH
$ . ~/.profile

Sostituire {version}con il numero di versione corretto.

E ora puoi eseguire il comando dalla shell:

pg_ctl --help
pg_ctl is a utility to initialize, start, stop, or control a PostgreSQL server.

C'è un motivo pg_ctlper cui una particolare versione di pg (ad es. 9.1, 9.4) non è presente $PATHsu Ubuntu. Se aggiorni Ubuntu, potrebbero essere in esecuzione più versioni di pg, che si pg_ctlclusteroccuperanno solo di tutte . Vedere @PeterEisentraut 's più canonica risposta .

Non dovresti eseguire pg_ctldirettamente su Ubuntu / Debian. Utilizzare pg_ctlclusterinvece, che è installato da postgresql-common. Vedi la sua pagina man per la documentazione.

In caso contrario versione quali clusterparametri utilizzare durante la chiamata pg_ctlcluster, controllare l'output di pg_lsclusters.

dove:

dove azione:
