È possibile installare Ubuntu sul trasformatore Asus?

Sto pensando di acquistare un netvertible (tablet netbook ibrido) e installare Ubuntu 11.04 su di esso, probabilmente come doppio avvio con il sistema operativo fornito.

Il trasformatore Asus appena lanciato sembra davvero bello. È possibile installare Ubuntu su di esso? In tal caso, cosa funziona (out of the box o work-arounds), cosa no?

Ubuntu nativa:

Se Ubuntu nativo funziona sul tuo Asus Transformer dipende dal tuo modello, poiché il trasformatore deve essere rootabile con il metodo nflash. Per scoprire controlla il tuo numero seriale (vicino alla porta del cavo)

• Se il tuo numero di serie B4O-B6O, funzionerà
• Se il tuo numero di serie è B70, potrebbe funzionare
• Se il tuo numero di serie è B8O o superiore, non funzionerà (puoi eseguire il root del tuo TF101 usando Razorclaw)

personalmente, non l'ho ancora provato, ma le persone di modaco (forum basato su Android) ne discutono, puoi verificarlo

Ubuntu su Transformer è qui.

Come riportato da @Uli, grazie a XDA dev ora è possibile eseguire Ubuntu nativo su Asus eee pad Transformer.

Segui questa guida passo passo per installare Ubuntu su micro sd card del tuo Transformer e avviarlo.

La guida è per Windows, ma in Ubuntu (e GNU / Linux in generale) è più facile. Non installare semplicemente il driver e utilizzare flash.sh (e restore.sh per ripristinare boot.img per eseguire Android) invece di flash.bat.

PS. I file relativi a flash.sh e bootloader sono indicati sul Ubuntu nativo ufficiale [DEV] !! thread indicato da @Uli).

Scarica Ubuntu come menzionato sopra.
