Errore crontab "Nessun crontab per root"

quando scrivo il crontab -ecomando nel terminale,

Ricevo questo messaggio di errore:

no crontab for root - using an empty one 888

Non so che cosa significhi "888"?

Il tuo crontabeditor è passato a ed. Per uscire ed, premere Qe successivamente Enter. Questo uscirà eddall'editor.

Se desideri modificare crontabnuovamente l'editor per nanoutilizzarlo:

sudo select-editor

Questo è il numero di caratteri nel file predefinito. Ubuntu crea un file crontab 'vuoto' con molti commenti che mostrano come usarlo.
