Voglio copiare un layout di tastiera /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/e modificarlo e quindi produrre un nuovo layout da esso.

Appunti:

Per caricare le modifiche al menu dei layout semplicemente chiudere le preferenze di gnome-tastiera e ricaricare, il riavvio di Windows Manager non dovrebbe essere necessario.

C'è una modifica nella versione di Ubuntu (13.10) che impedisce l'aggiornamento della cache delle impostazioni della tastiera dopo la modifica dei file nella directory "/ usr / share / X11 / xkb /bols". Molto probabilmente non ci sarà alcuna icona per esso ubuntu-mono. Quindi l'indicatore genererà dinamicamente uno nuovo che potrebbe non seguire il tema attuale.

Copia qualsiasi icona di layout per temi monocromatici chiari / scuri:

sudo cp /usr/share/icons/ubuntu-mono-dark/status/22/indicator-keyboard-En.svg /usr/share/icons/ubuntu-mono-dark/status/22/indicator-keyboard-Xy.svg

Sembrano avere le stesse informazioni in diversi formati, molto probabilmente un processo di migrazione da un formato all'altro, potremmo aspettarci la scomparsa di alcuni di essi nelle prossime versioni. Non sono sicuro, se ottengo qualche riferimento per questo, lo aggiungerò.

Bella risposta! Solo un breve consiglio: puoi usare KeyboardLayoutEditor per generare rapidamente file di simboli personalizzati.

L'aggiunta di un'immagine di bandiera è anche necessaria per KDE. Un'opzione in KDE può mostrare la bandiera del paese invece dell'etichetta del layout. Per il mio layout artificiale viene mostrata un'etichetta invece di una bandiera.
