Update Manager dice "Non è possibile installare tutti gli aggiornamenti"

Ho installato 11.04 con Gnome 3 e tutto funzionava bene fino a quando non ho provato a eseguire il gestore aggiornamenti. Ora non riesco ad aggiornare nessuno dei miei pacchetti. Una domanda simile è stata posta qualche tempo fa ma non è stata presentata alcuna soluzione

Dopo aver installato ciascuno dei pacchetti (tramite sudo apt-get install [package]) che sono stati trattenuti, tutto sembra essere normale. Quindi perché ho dovuto reinstallare tutto? Suppongo che abbia a che fare con gnome3 poiché ogni pacchetto è stato installato tramite il loro repository.

ok - passo dopo passo - troviamo un pacchetto che viene sicuramente trattenuto - prova a installare il pacchetto con sudo apt-get install <packagename>- se dà errori - sostituisci la modifica totem con questo nuovo errore del pacchetto.

A volte ho scoperto che il gestore dei pacchetti non è in grado di far fronte all'entità delle modifiche che un determinato PPA richiede di essere aggiornato.

Ad esempio, il gestore avvia l'elaborazione di un file, ma rinuncia a richiedere dipendenze errate, senza analizzare ulteriormente che un pacchetto / i pacchetti successivi nel PPA avrebbe soddisfatto tale dipendenza.

In questi casi, è necessario eseguire le seguenti operazioni: eseguire in un terminale

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

Questo ti darà un elenco di pacchetti che non può essere installato.

Scorri l'elenco uno per uno cercando di installarlo, ad es

sudo apt-get install <package name>

Al termine, ripetere i comandi update / upgrade e ripetere il resto dei pacchetti / nuovi pacchetti richiesti. Potrebbe essere necessario farlo alcune volte fino all'installazione di tutti i pacchetti.

Mi chiedo solo: per quanto ricordo, il 'Not all updates can be installed'messaggio è solitamente accompagnato dall'opzione di 'Run partial upgrade'. Come soluzione alla GUI, consiglieresti (anche) di eseguire un "aggiornamento parziale", riavviare e quindi verificare se Update Mgrè rimasto qualcosa da fare dopo il riavvio? Il metodo della riga di comando e questo metodo "GUI" equivalgono alla stessa cosa? Ugualmente "sicuro" / affidabile?
