Cosa c'è che non va quando VLC dice "impossibile trovare hdrl o movi chunk"?

Ho scaricato BT un film avi "Gintama 2017.avi". Voglio giocarci ma non ci riesco.

Nessuno dei risultati precedenti o successivi è stato particolarmente incoraggiante o ha suggerito di avere un vero e proprio file video funzionante. Il filecomando di solito guarda solo in corrispondenza o vicino all'inizio di un file di indovinare il tipo, ed vlcera in grado di provare a riprodurre il file, ma non è stato in grado di trovare qualsiasi cosa in esso che potrebbe svolgere, e nemmeno tutto ciò che sembrava simile potrebbe essere riprodotto se avessi installato più codec.

La parte "tentativo di risincronizzazione" avrebbe potuto portare a risultati migliori se il problema fosse che il file non veniva letto correttamente, ma non lo era.

Sembra che non sia affatto un file AVI, piuttosto che necessitare di codec.

Se questo fosse un vero file AVI e il problema fosse proprio quello di cui avevi bisogno dei codec, allora VLC avrebbe dovuto essere ancora in grado di trovare i dati hdrl e movi . Sarebbe quindi fallito in seguito, quando ha effettivamente tentato di riprodurre il file. Avresti potuto avere audio senza video, video senza audio o addirittura nessuno dei due, ma ciò sarebbe accaduto quando si fosse tentato di interpretare i dati dei filmati nel file.

Quindi questo file non è mai stato (a) mai un file AVI o (b) danneggiato. Se hai ottenuto il file tramite BitTorrent, di solito è abbastanza efficace nel prevenire errori di trasmissione (perché viene controllato l'hash di ogni pezzo), quindi probabilmente è stato danneggiato prima di scaricarlo o non è mai stato pensato per essere un vero file AVI.

Altre possibilità

Tecnicamente ci sono altre possibilità. Se avessi avuto motivi precedenti per pensare che il file fosse buono, allora suggerirei che potrebbe essere:

• Corrotto anche se hai usato un protocollo (BitTorrent) che solitamente previene la corruzione. La maggior parte dei programmi BitTorrent ha una funzione di "ricontrollo forzato" che consente di ricontrollare che tutti i pezzi ricevuti siano stati hash correttamente.
• Un file per il quale avevi bisogno di codec era anche erroneamente chiamato.avi quando in realtà era un diverso tipo di file contenitore. Sarebbe ancora improbabile, però, perché quando hai guardato la parte superiore del file (che il filecomando ha esaminato) è ancora sembrava essere un AVI.
• Prodotto da un programma che aveva lo scopo di produrre un file AVI reale, ma aveva gravi bug causando il formato di sbagliare, ma giocabile con alcuni altri giocatori che è accaduto a tollerare il formato sbagliato (forse a causa di bug di loro). Penso che questa sia la possibilità meno probabile, anche se potresti provare ad aprire il file in un editor video come OpenShot come suggerisce ravery .

In questo caso, hai una potente euristica a supporto della spiegazione che il file era deliberatamente falso: è arrivato con un file eseguibile (per Windows) che affermava di essere un programma di installazione per i codec il file necessario, che non era accompagnato da alcuna documentazione, e più malware scanner ti hanno detto che il file sembrava essere malware.
