X client inoltrato su SSH "impossibile aprire display: localhost: 11.0"

Ho abilitato l'inoltro X sul computer remoto su cui è in esecuzione il server SSH:

Sul computer locale, ho avviato il client SSH con -Xflag che indica al server SSH, in esecuzione sul computer remoto, di impostare un proxy X-server. Inoltre, crea la $DISPLAYvariabile che punta a questo proxy e chiama xauthper installare una chiave proxy che si autentica su questo proxy X-server su una macchina remota:

Tuttavia, i client X sul computer remoto non si avviano correttamente:

X forwarding non utilizza xhostquindi almeno questo può essere escluso. Ho provato a trovare alcune voci di registro utili sia sulla macchina in cui è in esecuzione il server SSH sia sulla macchina in cui il client SSH è in esecuzione con find /var/log/ -mmin -5 -type fcomando, ma questo non ha dato alcun suggerimento. La versione del server SSH è OpenSSH_5.9p1 e la versione del client SSH è OpenSSH_5.2p1. Di seguito è possibile visualizzare l'output della directory /tmp/.X11-unix/ sulla macchina remota:

Ora per quanto riguarda il tuo problema, ci sono due tipi di inoltro X11, sicuri e privilegiati, e probabilmente non hai abilitato ForwardX11Trusted yes. Non è necessario su Debian e derivati ​​perché lo abilitano sempre.

Quindi alcuni retroscena su come siamo arrivati ​​qui. X11 non è il protocollo più sicuro. È stato progettato in tempi più amichevoli e ci sono stati numerosi sforzi per renderlo più sicuro nel corso degli anni, incluso il passaggio attraverso un tunnel di shell sicuro. Il tunneling di X11 riduce quasi tutte le vulnerabilità di X11. Rimane il rischio di visualizzare finestre da sistemi non attendibili. Nel mio ambiente (standard) Ubuntu ho ricevuto il messaggio di errore xterm over ssh "... programma suid-root ..." (vedi sopra), anche con tutte le impostazioni di inoltro corrette.
