Quando si leggono le hdparm
pagine del manuale, si dice che il -S
valore
viene utilizzato dall'unità per determinare il tempo di attesa (senza attività del disco) prima di spegnere il motore del mandrino per risparmiare energia
Quando configuro i miei dischi con hdparm -B 1 -K 1 -S 120 /dev/sd[d-z]
l'output è:

E lo stato iniziale dell'unità hdparm -C /dev/sd[d-z]
è " attivo / inattivo ".
Tutte queste /dev/sd[d-z]
unità sono della stessa marca e modello, non partizionate, non formattate e non montate.
Dopo aver atteso 15 minuti , lo stato dell'unità è ancora " attivo / inattivo ".
Solo quando si emette un "Forza un'unità IDE per accedere immediatamente alla modalità standby a basso consumo energetico" utilizzando hdparm -y /dev/sd[d-z]
l'unità, passare allo stato " standby ".
Perché le mie unità non entrano nello stato di standby a basso consumo energetico dopo il valore di timeout specificato da hdparm?
