Per quanto ne so, tutto ciò che puoi fare è filtrare il nome visualizzato pre_user_display_name
e verificare se esiste già. Sfortunatamente WP_User_Query
non supporta l'interrogazione tramite display_name
, quindi dobbiamo anche aggiungere alla WHERE
clausola via pre_user_query
. Inoltre, non esiste un modo elegante a cui possa pensare di gestire il caso in cui display_name
esiste già oltre la restituzione di nulla, dal momento che non sappiamo tramite il filtro a quale utente è associato questo potenziale nome visualizzato. o forse sono solo stanco e mi manca qualcosa di ovvio! Ad ogni modo, ecco un breve test che ho creato:

È piuttosto sporco, ma fa il lavoro, basta inserirlo nel tuo tema Functions.php su un singolo sito o in un file Functions.php all'interno della tua cartella mu-plugins su un sito multiplo.
Lo script analizzerà anche gli utenti esistenti (se il tuo sito ne ha già molti) e tutti i nomi visualizzati non univoci verranno aggiornati e sostituiti con nome utente.
So che questo non è del tutto ideale, ma qualsiasi suggerimento per trattare con utenti esistenti o miglioramenti è sempre il benvenuto.
