PS: questo funziona se l'immagine .gif si adatta alla tua vista web o viceversa se l'immagine è più grande della vista web la barra di scorrimento viene abilitata e l'utente può scorrere l'immagine webview AKA. Quindi dobbiamo stare attenti quando lo usiamo, per dare le dimensioni adeguate alla visualizzazione web come da immagine o modificare l'immagine adatta alla tua visualizzazione web.

Dobbiamo usare gifImageView.setLayerType(View.LAYER_TYPE_SOFTWARE, null);come quando l'hardware accelerato abilitato, l'immagine GIF non funziona su quel dispositivo. L'accelerazione hardware è abilitata sui dispositivi sopra (4.x).

Inserisci la tua immagine .gif nella tua cartella disegnabile. Ora vai su app> res> layout> activity_main.xml e aggiungi questo frammento per il tuo .gif:
